Seaside Adventure

We had had a GREAT trip to the beach.  The kiddos haven't been to Seaside and it had been years since any of the adults have been.  I love when some things just don't need to change. All of the fun things I remember as a child were still there and just as fun! This time I think they may have been even better because I got to share them with my kiddos and my sweet niece. Brad was still in Alaska on Friday but he flew in to town Saturday and headed straight for the beach.
Old fashion drinks from the soda shop and the carousel.

Funland - The Arcade.

A sunset trip down to the beach (even though it was to cloudy to see the sun set).
Harper's first view of the ocean.

They just can resist, coats and all!

Warming up....and Auntie Jo enjoying the sound of the tub running with her blanket.

 So here's a story....
Owen has recently started loving a show called Battle Bots (they had one in the 90's some of you might remember). These genius teams build robots and then battle them. Well we are sitting on the couch one night and Owen says "Uncle Levi would LOVE this, can we Facetime him?" We did, and they happened to be over at Dawn and Jordan's house.  Owen showed Levi what we were watching on TV and then Owen's dreams came true.  Jordan had some of these "build it yourself" Battle Bots from back in the day and he told Owen he would send one home with Levi to build with Owen. So they build this one at the beach.  It of course was a bit over Owens head but our PATIENT Uncle Levi stuck with it and the had it running by the time we left. So grateful for the time Uncle Levi gives to this little man, Owen looks up to him so much.

We even managed a bicycle built for 7.

More beach time!

The first time these little toes touched the sand.
This was Owen pretty much the entire day!

Snuggles.
